Cooking Tips - The Best Marinade Recipe For Grilled Shrimps

In one of my articles, I have shared to you the recipes on how to make an exquisitely delicious marinated grilled shrimps. This article is a comprehensible cooking guide to preparing marinade for grilled shrimps. This is quite easy to do. But first, set your Rachael Ray cookware products on your table along with the necessary ingredients.

Below are the easy to follow steps on how to make the best and mouthwatering marinade for your grilled shrimps. See to it that all the ingredients mentioned in this recipe must not be substituted by any other ingredients; otherwise, the taste will be totally different.

Procedure for Making Grilled Shrimp Marinade:
Ingredients: (You can buy these ingredients at your favorite super market or any other stores)
One-fourth teaspoon pepper
One-fourth cup olive oil
One-half teaspoon dried basil (1 teaspoon if fresh)
One-half teaspoon dried rosemary
One-fourth cup dry white wine
1 tablespoon minced dry onion

First and foremost, you need to put the one pound raw shelled shrimp in a plastic bag or any container with firm cover, and then you add up marinade. After this you need to refrigerate it within two to four hours. After the period of marinating, you need to carefully drain the marinade. Afterward, you have to slowly thread the large or extra-large shrimps onto pre-soaked skewers or metal sticks. Then, you grill the skewers over hot coals for about six to ten minutes. Time and again, you need to brush the shrimps using the reserved marinade liquid.

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon coarse black pepper
One-half teaspoon Cajun spice (optional)
1 pound large fresh shrimps, peeled, deveined (leave on tails)
Thin lemon slices
1 cup dry white wine
1 cup olive oil
One-half teaspoon chopped basil

At the outset, you have to completely mix marinade in a large bowl, then add up the large or extra-large shrimps, cover the bowl tightly, and refrigerate it for at about 3 hours. Occasionally turn it. Next to that you need to put the grill on a high heat using coals. Put the large shrimps and the lemon slices on bamboo or wooden skewers. Also you need to alternate the shrimps and the lemon slices when you skew them. Continue grilling until the shrimps become opaque. Occasionally baste the shrimps using the extra marinade. Grill each side of the shrimp approximately within three minutes.

However, if you really want a quick and easy-to-use shrimp marinade, you can buy a bottle of seafood marinade. There are pre-made seafood marinade such as the Lawry's Tequila Lime and the Caribbean Jerk. You can purchase them at your favorite local grocery store. Always remember to marinade the fresh shrimps for approximately an hour before grilling.

Grilled Garlic-Stuffed Top Sirloin Steak Recipe

The garlic used in this sirloin steak recipe calms down during the two stages grilling, adding a nice richness to the top sirloin. Top sirloin is a more tender and leaner cut than bottom sirloin.

This sirloin recipe works best grilled over charcoal and mesquite chips. It can also be cooked inside in the oven, although you will not get the same smoky flavor.

1 3-pound boneless top sirloin steak (about 2 inches thick)
salt and ground black pepper to taste

Garlic Filling:
1 medium garlic head (baked in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for an hour
1 1/2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup chopped scallions

On an outdoor grill, get enough charcoal lit to have a single layer coals below the meat. At the same time, soak a few handfuls of mesquite chips in water.

In making the filling, break the garlic head apart, then squeeze each soft garlic clove from its skin. In a small skillet or frying pan, heat one tablespoon of the olive oil. Add the garlic, and mash it into the oil with a fork until you form a rough paste.

Stir in the scallions, and cook for a minute or two, until the onions are soft. Remove the pan from the stove top, and let the filling mixture cool while you get the meat ready.

Trim off any fat from the sirloin, and cut a horizontal slit along the length of the steak to make a pocket. Be sure not to cut through to the other side. Spread the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil thinly over the sirloin.

After allowing the charcoal to become gray, spread the soaked mesquite chips on top of the coals. Lay the steak on the grill over the coals. Cover the meat with the grill lid, or make a foil tent to lay over the sirloin.

Grill the meat on one side for about 15 minutes, then turn it. Grill for another 10 to 15 minutes, until reaching your desired doneness. Serve immediately.

Easy Steps For the Best Marinated Grilled Shrimp

1. Purchase Raw fresh or Frozen Shrimp. For grilling purposes, I recommend Large or Extra-Large Shrimp. It is best not to buy pre-cooked shrimp because you are going to be cooking it again on the grill. Raw shrimp takes only minutes to cook. For the best results, and too avoid chewy shrimp, always start with Raw Shrimp.

2. Clean and Devein Shrimp - this is assuming you bought shrimp in the shell. (If you bought shelled-deveined shrimp, skip this step.) Under cold running water, remove outer shell and legs. Leave tail in tact. Make a small slice along the center back of the shrimp and with the tip of your knife, gently remove the black vein. Rinse shrimp and set into clean bowl. Repeat until all shrimp are done.

3. Drain any excess water from bowl of cleaned shrimp. Pat dry with paper towels to soak up any excess water remaining on shrimp.

4. Cover and refrigerate shrimp until ready to marinade

5. Choose your favorite Marinated Grilled Shrimp Recipe

6. Prepare Shrimp Marinade ingredients according to recipe

7. Remove shrimp from fridge, uncover, pour marinade over shrimp and stir shrimp to coat completely. Recover tightly and return to fridge.

Commentary:

I love this recipe and eat grilled cheese sandwiches often. These sandwiches taste great and are very easy to prepare. These sandwiches are also cheap and healthy because they are made with:

1. 100% stone ground whole wheat bread - the "stone ground" part is very important. It ensures you are getting all of the health benefits associated with whole grains

2. 2% fat cheese - You can use any low fast cheese for this recipe. I just happen to like American cheese. Low fat cheese is high in protein and calcium. Both can improve your health and help you lose weight

3. Olive oil cooking spray - You can use canola cooking spray also. Olive oil is good for you in moderation. It's healthy oil that can help decrease your bad cholesterol and improve your overall health.
